Strengthening Communities Through Rural Broadband Connectivity

Continuing Connectivity Advancements

TidalHealth

formerly known as

ATLANTIC GENERAL HOSPITAL

In partnership with TidalHealth Atlantic, Maryland Broadband Cooperative has successfully secured a major funding award through the Rural Healthcare Fund, administered by the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC). This highly competitive funding represents a significant investment in the future of healthcare delivery across our region.

With this support, we are accelerating the expansion of advanced broadband infrastructure, empowering healthcare providers with faster, more reliable connectivity that directly enhances patient care, telehealth capabilities, and access to critical medical services.

As part of TidalHealth’s recent integration and rebranding initiative, formerly known as Atlantic General Hospital, TidalHealth Atlantic continues to expand healthcare services, modernize technology systems, and strengthen regional care coordination across Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

This milestone not only strengthens our collaboration with one of the region’s leading healthcare systems but also reinforces our commitment to building resilient, future-ready connectivity solutions. By bridging the digital divide in healthcare, we are helping ensure that communities — regardless of location — can benefit from high-quality, technology-driven care.
