Maryland’s ‘Goldilocks Approach’ To Broadband is Saving the State Millions

Maryland’s Digital Infrastructure Group and Maryland Broadband Cooperative are helping expand broadband access while saving the state millions through coordinated infrastructure planning. A recent $250,000 grant will fund 26 miles of new fiber in Western Maryland, improving connectivity, network resiliency, public safety infrastructure, and access for underserved communities through what officials call a “Goldilocks approach” to broadband investment.
