SMECO Fund-raising Event for Three Local Hospitals

Maryland Broadband Cooperative was recognized as a platinum sponsor of Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative’s annual charity golf outing, which raised $60,000 for three Southern Maryland hospitals: CalvertHealth, University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center, and MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital. The fundraiser supports healthcare services including cancer treatment, emergency department improvements, and community health programs. SMECO leaders highlighted the event as part of the cooperative’s ongoing commitment to supporting local organizations and strengthening the Southern Maryland community.
